Shravan Maitra – Bhumi Puja of Audiometry room at Dahanu

Mook Badhir Bal Vikas Kendra, Dahanu is a school started by the great social worker Anutai Wagh. We provide batteries for hearing aids to the children of this school under our Shravan Maitra project.

The Trustee and teachers of this school requested help for the renovation of their Audiometry room. For this work, it would cost a fund of Rs. 6-7 lakhs. Audiogram is the basic thing to estimate and study the hearing ability of any hearing impaired child in order to take appropriate measures. As there is no up-to-date audiometry room facility in Dahanu Palghar area, teachers and parents have no option but to come to Mumbai. After understanding and checking all these things, Maitra team started working on its motto “मी असेन तुझ्याबरोबर नेहमीच (I will be with you always)” and started looking for donors for this work.

We had already gained the trust of our previous donors i.e. DSV Logistics through our Battery Bank project, so they agreed to donate for this work as well. After much effort, site visit, discussions, supplier visits, supplier selection and periodic verification and evaluation by the DSV team, finally donation was received.

Accordingly today on March 17, 2024, on the occasion of Anutai's 114th birth anniversary, a renewal Bhumi Puja program was held. Mr.Santosh and Prakash of Maitra Pariwar were present at this event. Once the work is started, this work will be periodically reviewed by the Maitra admin team. And after the completion of Audiometry Room Maitra team will attend inagural function.

This is a very prestigious project for Maitra Pariwar, which will benefit notonly the children of this school but also other hearing impaired mutes in the surrounding area.
