Shravan Maitra: A voice in the lives of deaf students in association with Maitra Pariwar Trust and DSV Company at Pune!!

The company DSV Global Logistics has supported Maitra Pariwar Trust to become Shravan Maitra in the current academic year!! On behalf of Maitra Pariwar, more than 500 children from various schools in Pune, Mumbai, Virar, Dahanu will be provided regular hearing aid batteries throughout the year under this initiative. DSV Charitable Foundation of DSV Global Logistics has borne the entire financial burden of this project.

The distribution of batteries for the current academic year was started from July 8, 2023 and immediately after these programs in Dahanu and Virar, on Tuesday, July 11, 2023, Shikshan Prasarak Mandali in Pune was conducted by Maitra Parivar V. Rs. Batteries for hearing aids were distributed to Ruia Mook Deaf Vidyalaya.

Tarun Kaura, Manager of Pune Branch of DSV Company and Ganesh Kanade, Head of Admin of the company were present in this distribution ceremony organized in Pune. While the Vice President of the Board of Education Broadcasters and the Director of Chitale Udyog Group Mr. Krishna Chitale, Congregation Governing Body Member Kiran Shaligram, Principal of Ruia Mook Badhir Vidyalaya Sangita Shinde were present. Shri Sudhir Kalkar, Member of the Governing Body of the Congregation and Member of Maitra Pariwar Sanstha, planned this program. A total of 91 children were distributed these batteries by the dignitaries and 6 children were given new hearing aids.

Sadhana Vidyalaya, Pragati Vidyalaya, Ruchiram Thadani Vidyalaya in Mumbai and Bhave Primary, Bhave Secondary,  Ruia Vidyalaya, Morden High School in Pune have benefited from the Shravan Maitra scheme.

The trust has also provided hearing aids to 12 students under Shravan Maitra project till last academic year. Also, faulty hearing aids have been repaired.
