Kaushalya Mitra – Skill Development Program “Saksham” in G.P. Dahanu School on July 26,2025
Under the Kaushal Mitra initiative, this year Maitra Parivar in collaboration with its long term partner PENS Foundation launched a new skill development program named “Saksham” in G.P. Dahanu. School, has been started at Tanashi.
The inauguration of this initiative took place on Saturday, 26 July 2025 at 10 am. Mr. Santosh Dalvi and Mrs. Shilpa Dalvi, while by PENS Foundation Mr. Yogesh Save and Mrs. Poonam Raut attended the event. Along with this, teachers, students and parents of the school also participated spontaneously.
In the program Mr. Yogesh Save and Mr. Santosh Dalvi expressed their thoughts, Santosh Dalvi explained the importance of skill development to the students through examples.
In the second half of the program, students were shown live demonstrations of sewing and embroidery. About 80 students will participate in this workshop and they will be given hands-on training of 20 to 40 days depending on the chosen subject.
With experienced mentors available for training, students will be given thorough training in sewing, embroidery and carpentry.
The main objective of Kaushal Mitra initiative is to make the needy and promising boys and girls self-reliant through such activities.
