A Special Quilt making workshop was sponsored by Maitra Pariwar in collaboration with PENS Sahyog foundation at Saksham Skill center, Vangaon, Palghar on 9th and 10th July 2022. Rubina Chavan and her SnehPariwar’s Team from Devrukh, Ratnagiri taught the triibal women quilt making and making of other items like doormats and bags. This 2-days workshop benefitted 30+ women from Ambiste, Saye, Sakhare and Vangaon rural area. Through this workshop Maitra Parivar is handholding with PENS for its commitment to create employment in rural areas via it’s women empowerment project. . Today the Maitra family is happy that these girls are becoming empowered by developing skills instead of going to the fields as farm labour.
