CSR – Adisoft Technologies Pvt.Ltd.
Under the Project Vidhyarthi Maitra, Adisoft Technologies Pvt. Ltd. has sponsored 45 school benches for Shri Sai Vidyamandir, school for low income group Adivasi, Koli, located in Aksa village, Malad west. The total cost of benches is Rs. 2,02,500/-.
The Bench handover was a hastily organised event as we did not want the delivered benches to be subjected to any damage in the temporary storage area. Many of our busy members managed to squeeze out time and attend.
The school atmosphere was so lively. They had decorated the front area with idols of Shri Ganesha and Shri Saraswati. The benches were arranged nicely .The teachers were decked in nice sarees and the students spick and span in their regular, scout-guide and sports uniforms.
The program started with a melodious “Swagat Geet” sung by a few girl-students. Then senior teacher Kokane Sir gave a brief introduction of Maitra Pariwar and the attending members to their students and staff and thanked Maitra Pariwar for being a catalyst and Adisoft Technologies for their generous gesture. Santosh Dalvi from Maitra implored the students to not just accept help but pass it down to at least 3 more people but only after taking a promise to help at least 3 in return and hence build a help chain. The students were quick enough to recognise this concept from the movie Jai Ho and promised to carry on this legacy. Santosh also stressed the importance of being grateful to their teachers throughout their life and thank them at every opportunity. A few words on similar thoughts were added by our Bench Vendor Mr.Sanjay Gawde who also is part of a similar social group of batch of 1986 students from IES Bandra.
Mr. Pralhad Mhatre , one of the most active and responsible trustees, also added a few words in appreciation of Maitra Pariwar and its work. He expressed the school’s eagerness to stay connected with Maitra Pariwar.
The program ended with ‘Pasayadan’ sung by Anil Phanse and joined in by all students and teachers. After the program Maitra team took a small tour of the school and has identified few areas where we could help improve.
